Rail Booking
Rail beta lets you use train travel for eligible trips when your organization has enabled Rail for your invite. Rail booking does not currently include train search or full ticketing inside Juno. Instead, Juno gives you rail guidance and rail card payment support. When travel-agent assistance is available for your organization, Juno also provides the reference details needed to complete rail booking by phone.
When Rail Is Available
Rail is available when your host includes it on your invite and your organization’s travel policy supports rail travel. Some trips may include both Air and Rail so you can use the travel method that fits your route.
If Rail is not shown on your trip, your invite or policy does not currently support rail booking through Juno.
Booking Your Train
Follow the rail instructions shown in your trip. If travel-agent assistance is available for your organization, Juno provides the reference details needed to call and complete the booking over the phone. If travel-agent assistance is not available, use self-booking: Juno provides a single-use rail virtual card so you can book directly with your preferred rail provider and upload the receipt for confirmation.
Juno does not currently search train schedules or issue train tickets directly in the product. Travel-agent assistance is available only when your organization supports it for rail.
Using the Rail Card
Your organization may provide a rail virtual card for the train purchase. The card has a maximum spend limit set by your organization’s rail policy.
The limit applies to the full rail purchase, including taxes and fees. If the total price is above the card limit, the purchase may be declined unless your organization approves a higher limit.
Requesting a Limit Increase
If your organization allows rail card limit increase requests, you can request more funds when the card limit is not enough for the rail purchase. Include the amount needed and the reason for the request.
Your request is sent to the policy approver. If approved, the card limit is raised to the approved amount. If rejected, the card limit stays the same.
If your organization blocks limit increases, you cannot request a higher rail card limit. Any amount above the maximum is outside the card limit.
Getting Help
Contact Scout if you need help with a rail booking, a limit increase request, or a change to an existing rail itinerary. When travel-agent assistance is available for your organization, Scout can help connect you with itinerary-specific support.
