Dynamic Tiles

Dynamic tiles allow you to provide customized information blocks to your guests on their dashboard. This feature enables you to create a more personalized experience by displaying relevant information, reminders, and helpful resources based on specific conditions.

Overview

Dynamic tiles in Juno can be used to:

  • Display important event information to guests
  • Provide helpful resources specific to an event or location
  • Surface time-sensitive information conditionally
  • Enhance the guest dashboard with visual elements like weather forecasts
  • Add quick links to relevant external resources

Types of Dynamic Tiles

Juno supports two types of dynamic tiles:

Custom Tiles

Custom tiles allow you to create fully customizable information blocks with:

  • Custom title and descriptive text
  • Optional icons from the Tabler icon set
  • Conditional visibility based on various factors
  • Optional action button with custom text and link

Smart Tiles

Smart tiles are pre-configured special-purpose tiles that provide dynamic functionality:

  • Weather Tile: Displays weather forecasts for the event location during the event dates

    • Time period (before, during, or after the event)
    • Custom field values from the invitation
    • Event invite group (for event-specific tiles)

How Tiles Display

Guest Dashboard

Dynamic tiles appear on the guest dashboard in the following order:

  1. The Guest Support tile (always displayed first)
  2. Custom and Smart tiles sorted by:
    • Priority (High → Medium → Low)
    • Tile type (Custom tiles before Smart tiles)
    • Alphabetically by name

Weather Tile Specifics

The Weather tile displays:

  • Weather forecasts for the days of the event
  • Temperature ranges (minimum and maximum)
  • Weather conditions with appropriate icons
  • Location name based on the event location

The Weather tile automatically disappears after the event has ended.

Conditional Visibility

Tiles can be configured to appear only when specific conditions are met. This powerful feature allows you to:

  • Show different information before, during, and after the event
  • Display content based on custom field values
  • Target information to specific types of guests

Condition Builder

The condition builder allows you to create complex visibility rules with:

  • Simple conditions: field equals value, time period is before/during/after event
  • Logical operators: AND, OR
  • Condition groups for complex logic

Best Practices

Tile Design

  • Use clear, concise titles that immediately convey the purpose
  • Keep details text brief and focused on essential information
  • Use icons to enhance visual recognition
  • Include action buttons only when there’s a clear follow-up action for guests

Organization

  • Prioritize the most important information with “High” priority
  • Limit the number of tiles to avoid overwhelming guests
  • Order related information logically using priorities
  • Use conditional visibility to show only what’s relevant at the current time

Content Strategy

  • Focus on information that helps guests prepare for or navigate the event
  • Consider what questions guests might have at different stages
  • Update tile content as event details change
  • Test how tiles appear on mobile devices to ensure readability
