Sending Flight Options to a Guest
Sometimes you don’t want to book a flight outright — you want to hand the guest a short list of vetted flights and let them pick the one that works best. Sending flight options lets you search privately, curate up to five itineraries, and email them to the guest for review. The guest chooses an option and books it themselves, without having to run their own search.
This is an alternative to booking a flight directly on the guest’s behalf. You can send options on any invite you’re able to help with — the guest doesn’t need to be set to coordinator booking.
Sending options is available when it’s enabled for your organization. If you don’t see the Send Options toggle on the flight results page, contact your Juno administrator.
When to Send Options vs. Book Directly
- Book directly when you already know exactly what the guest should be on — you select the flights and confirm the booking yourself.
- Send options when you want the guest to make the final call among choices you’ve vetted. You do the searching and filtering; they do the choosing.
Either way, your search stays private. Curating options never changes the guest’s own booking session, and nothing is booked until an option is selected.
Curating and Sending Options
Start arranging travel
From the guest’s invite dashboard, open the Getting there and back section and select Arrange Travel to open the flight flow.
Search for flights
Set your search parameters — origin, dates, trip type, and number of travelers — and run the search. This is the same search you’d use to book directly. See Booking Flights for details on the search parameters.
Switch to Send Options
On the results page, switch the mode toggle from Book Now to Send Options.
Add options
Select the flights for each itinerary you want to offer. When an itinerary is complete — outbound and return for a round trip, or the single leg for a one-way — it’s added to your options, and a bar at the bottom of the results shows how many you’ve added. Keep searching and selecting to build up the set.
Review your options
Open the options bar to review everything you’ve selected. Each option shows its dates and total price. Remove any you don’t want, and add an optional note for the guest.
Share with the guest
Select Share Options with Guest. Juno emails the guest the options and your note, and returns you to the invite.
You can send up to five options per set. Switching back to Book Now discards any options you’ve drafted, so finish sending before you switch modes.
Booking an Option Yourself Instead
While reviewing your drafted options, you can select Book on any option to book it directly rather than sending the set. This takes you into the standard confirmation flow for that itinerary. Your other drafted options are kept in case you back out.
What the Guest Receives
The guest gets an email that names you as their coordinator, includes your note, and lists each option with its flight details, plus a link to a page where they can review the options, pick one, confirm their traveler details, and book.
Booking from a sent option follows the same travel policy and approval rules as any other booking — if the guest picks an out-of-policy option, it’s routed for approval before it’s confirmed.
You’re copied on the notification email so you can see exactly what the guest received.
Tracking Sent Options
After you send a set, the Getting there and back section on the guest’s invite dashboard shows a callout for any sets still awaiting the guest, with their status:

When you’ve sent more than one set, each is listed separately so you can open any of them. Once a flight is booked — from a sent option or any other way — that set stops appearing in the callout: a booked flight shows as the confirmed booking on the card instead, and a set that can no longer be selected drops off.
Select View Options to open the set (or View on an individual set when you’ve sent more than one) and review it yourself in the guest’s shell. From there you can book an option on the guest’s behalf if you have permission to book for this invite — view-only teammates can review the options but not select them.
How Options Interact with Booking
Sent options stay actionable until a flight is booked for the trip. Once any flight is booked — whether from a sent option, a direct booking, or the guest’s own search — every outstanding set for that trip can no longer be selected. If that booking later fails, the sets are automatically reopened so the guest can choose from them again.
If a guest tries to book an option right after another flight was booked, they’ll see a message that the options are no longer available and be directed back to their dashboard.
