Flight Check-In

Check-in happens directly with the airline, not in Juno. Juno gives you everything you need to check in: your airline confirmation code, your flight details, and — through Scout — a link to the airline’s check-in page.

How to Check In for Your Flight

Most airlines open online check-in 24—48 hours before departure. To check in:

  1. Go to the airline’s website or mobile app.
  2. Find the check-in (or “Manage My Booking”) section.
  3. Enter your airline confirmation code and your last name exactly as it appears on your booking.
  4. Complete check-in and get your boarding pass.

If your itinerary shows a flight operated by a partner airline (“Operated by” on your flight details), you may need to check in on the operating airline’s website instead of the airline you booked with.

Finding Your Airline Confirmation Code

Your dashboard is the most reliable place to find your confirmation code, and Scout can look it up for you:

  • Your dashboard — Open your itinerary and select your flight. The details panel shows a Confirmation row with your airline confirmation code once the booking is confirmed. See Your Dashboard for how to navigate your itinerary.
  • Your confirmation email — Most trips also get an email once the flight is ticketed, with the confirmation code in the subject line and the booking summary. Not every trip receives one — some organizations turn these emails off — so if you don’t have it, use your dashboard or ask Scout. If you need another copy, you can resend it from your flight details — see Resending Confirmation Emails.

If your trip includes connecting flights on different airlines, the airlines may issue separate confirmation codes. When they do, your confirmation email lists the code for each airline and route, and you can ask Scout for the details of all your flights — use the code shown for the flight you’re checking in for.

Your flight details may also show an Agency record locator. This is a separate reference used by Juno’s travel agency — it usually won’t work on airline websites. Use the airline confirmation code to check in.

Asking Scout for Check-In Details

The fastest way to get your check-in details is to ask Scout — in the chat on your dashboard or by text message. Try:

  • “How do I check in for my flight?”
  • “What’s my airline confirmation code?”
  • “Give me the check-in link for my return flight”

Scout replies with a card showing your airline, flight number, confirmation code, and a direct link to the airline’s check-in page when one is available. If you don’t specify a flight, Scout gives you details for your next upcoming flight — ask for your return flight or all of your flights to see the others.

Check-In Reminders

If your coordinator has check-in reminders enabled, Juno sends you a reminder 24 hours before each departure. When available, it includes your confirmation code and a link to the airline’s check-in page. Depending on your notification preferences, the reminder arrives by text message, email, or both.

Getting Your Boarding Pass

Juno doesn’t issue boarding passes — the airline does, when you complete check-in. During check-in, enter your own email address or mobile number when the airline asks where to send your boarding pass, so it goes directly to you.

This matters because the contact email on your airline reservation may not be your own — see the next section.

The Juno Email Address on Your Reservation

Because Juno books your flight as your travel agency, the contact email on the airline reservation may be a Juno-managed address ending in @juno.travel rather than your personal email. You might notice it when checking in or managing your booking on the airline’s website.

Emails the airline sends to that address — check-in confirmations, receipts, boarding passes — go to Juno’s travel support team, not to your inbox. You don’t need them to check in: your confirmation code is already in your Juno itinerary and confirmation email.

If the airline sent something you need to the Juno address — for example, a receipt you want for an expense — ask Scout to connect you with a travel agent, and they can get you a copy. See Contacting a Travel Agent.

When the airline asks where to send your boarding pass during check-in, use your own email address or phone number. Don’t replace the Juno address on the reservation — it keeps Juno’s travel team in the loop on airline notices. To have airline emails sent to you as well, ask a travel agent.

Troubleshooting

The airline can’t find my reservation

  • Double-check that you’re entering the airline confirmation code, not the agency record locator.
  • For connecting itineraries, use the confirmation code for the specific airline you’re checking in with.
  • Make sure your last name matches your booking exactly.
  • If the airline still can’t find your reservation, ask Scout to connect you with a travel agent.

I don’t have a confirmation code yet

If your flight shows Confirmed — awaiting ticketing, your code may already be available — check the Confirmation row in your flight details. If it shows Pending, the code appears by the time your ticket is issued. If your departure is coming up and you still don’t have one, ask Scout for help.

My flight is delayed or canceled

Check-in isn’t the right path for disruptions — contact Scout so a travel agent can help you rebook. See Flight Disruptions.
